Gardens of Acadia was a progressive rock/pop punk band from Purchase, New York. Influences include Coheed & Cambria, Bayside, Relient K, Rush and even some Alter Bridge in the mix for good measure.

In January of 2013, Gardens of Acadia was formed in Purchase, New York by lead vocalist/guitarist Justin Amrhein, lead guitarist Michael "Shades" Gordon, and former vocalist/drummer Ethan Strain. After months of perfecting their craft, GOA played at Manhattanville College's Quad Jam '13 in April.

Both Gordon and Amrhein spent summer and fall of that year writing new material for the band, which performed at Manhattanville College's Fall Fest '13. In October of that year, GOA came out with their first recorded work, a three song EP called "Enter the Gardens" recorded at Cannon Found Soundation in Union City, New Jersey, and produced by Jesse Cannon. The EP is currently available on Bandcamp, iTunes and Spotify.

Throughout 2014, GOA continued to write and perform, playing at venues in New York City and New Jersey, as well as at Manhattanville College's Local Music Festival. In March 2015, the band, with their then new drummer James Gemino, returned to Cannon Found Soundation to record their second EP, "Red Yellow and Blue" produced again by Jesse Cannon. The EP is available on Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify and Google Play.

Gordon, Amrhein and Gemino recorded and produced their third and final release titled "Morning Comes" in Manhattanville's studio, before complications regarding production and location arose leading the band to break up.
